Top Rated Attractions
๐Ÿž๏ธ Zion National Park: Picture yourself amidst the grandeur of towering cliffs, their fiery red and orange hues intensified by the setting sun. This is Zion National Park, a 229-square-mile spectacle of nature's artistry. The park's most iconic trail, Angel's Landing, is a 5.4-mile journey that takes you 1,488 feet above the canyon floor, offering panoramic views of landmarks such as the Great White Throne, a monolith of white Navajo Sandstone. The Narrows, a 16-mile trail through the slenderest section of Zion Canyon, is a journey through a labyrinth of sandstone walls, where the Virgin River is both your path and guide. The park is also home to Checkerboard Mesa, a unique geological formation characterized by a grid-like pattern of weathering.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Sand Hollow State Park: Sand Hollow State Park is a 20,000-acre playground of outdoor adventure where sapphire waters kiss golden sands, all set against a backdrop of ruby cliffs. The park's reservoir is a hub for water-based activities, where you can cast a line and reel in bass and bluegill or set sail on the serene waters. For those seeking a thrill, the surrounding sand dunes offer exhilarating off-roading experiences. Companies like "The Adventure Company" offer ATV rentals for those who want to feel the rush of the wind against their face as they navigate the dunes. The park is also home to unique geological formations, including ancient petrified dunes and striking red sandstone cliffs. For hikers, the Sand Hollow Reservoir OHV Trail is a popular choice. This 11.9-mile trail takes you on a journey through the park's diverse landscape, offering views of the reservoir and the distant peaks of Zion National Park.

๐Ÿž๏ธ Quail Creek State Park: Nestled amidst the rugged desert landscape of Utah, Quail Creek State Park is a radiant gem of natural beauty. Spanning over 600 acres, this park offers a myriad of activities to enjoy the great outdoors. The centerpiece of the park is the Quail Creek Reservoir, with its crystal-clear waters inviting visitors to partake in boating, fishing, and swimming. Anglers can test their skills against a variety of fish species, including rainbow trout, bullhead catfish, and black crappie that populate the reservoir. Surrounded by layers of vibrant sandstone, the park's terrain reveals a captivating spectacle of nature's artistry. Embark on an adventure along the network of hiking and biking trails, each winding through the mesmerizing landscape. The Overlook Trail, a moderate 1.8-mile trek, unveils breathtaking vistas, offering panoramic views of the glistening reservoir and the majestic Pine Valley Mountains that dominate the horizon. As you explore these trails, keep your senses heightened, for the park is home to a rich array of wildlife, including desert bighorn, coyotes, kit foxes, and many more.

๐ŸŒ„ Red Cliffs National Conservation Area: Spanning over 44,000 acres, Red Cliffs National Conservation Area is a sprawling expanse of pristine wilderness. Its defining feature is the striking red cliffs that soar skyward, creating a dramatic backdrop against the vast desert landscape. These towering sandstone formations, sculpted over millennia by the forces of nature, showcase nature's artistic prowess and leave visitors in awe of their grandeur. The Red Cliffs Recreation Area, one of the highlights of the park, is home to ancient dinosaur tracks that tell a story of a prehistoric world. Step back in time and witness the imprints left behind by these magnificent creatures that once roamed the land, including Grallator, Kayentapus, and Eubrontes some 190 million years ago.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Silver Reef Museum: Listed on the national register of historic places, the Silver Reef Museum is settled in what is now a ghost town, which back in 1879 had been established as a mining town owing to the silver found in the sandstone. Grab your pickaxe and dig into the past to discover well-preserved buildings, including a schoolhouse, a church, a general store, as well as several items used by miners back in the day.

The neighborhood is beautiful and nice to stay in. There was a small park right next to property for the children along a walking path. We enjoyed the property and it worked well with our grown adult children and grandchildren .
