Ocean View Villa Galle

a sprawling place, a real villa i'd say, with balconies in every direction. so much space in the place... a lovely family in the other building out front. there are some restaurants in the neighbourhood: a couple of spartan, Lankan joints (rice n curry and short eats) and a few more up market Lankan/Western ones.

it's a bit difficult to walk up Sahana way with the trucks parked near the scrap yard on the narrow (very busy) Matara Rd. (would suit scooter riders better). there is the odd impromptu disco (super woofers?) emanating from buses that park in the jungle near the train line. no noise tho after midnight from what i can remember.

Modern eingerichtete und äußerst saubere Unterkunft. Zwei Schlafzimmer mit separaten Badezimmer, welche durch eine Küche miteinander verbunden sind. Die Küche bietet einen kleinen Kühlschrank und Geschirr - keine Kochzeile, aber Tisch und zwei Stühle. Vor dem Apartment ist eine Sitzbank und gleichzeitig eine Abstellmöglichkeit für Tuk Tuk oder Auto. WLAN und Klimaanlage, sowie Deckenventilator vorhanden. In 15 Fahrminuten ist man am Leuchtturm von Galle, in 10 Fahrminuten an Strand. Das Apartment und der Stadtstrand sind durch eine Hauptverkehrsstraße getrennt - dieser bietet diverse Strandbars zum Entspannen und ist unter Surfern beliebt. Die Gegend um das Apartment bietet Tankstelle, Supermarkt, Obst- und Backwarenhändler.

Die Lage ist in Ordnung, ohne Verkehrsmittel jedoch nicht zu empfehlen. Der Strand ist ein typischer Stadtstrand - verschmutzt.

Prijs, ruimte en locatie.

Geen airco (stond wel bij booking.com) en geen uitzicht. Omgeving niet mooi. Overal plastic covers over meubels. Geen gordijnen.
