Serenity Haven - New Renovated 2Br Apt in Koukaki

Appartement très bien situé. Des commerces , des restaurants sont à moins de 10 min. Le centre d'Athènes (Acropole, Plaka..) est à 20 min à pied. Station de métro à 10 min Appartement spacieux , idéal pour 1 couple et 2 enfants ou 2 couples

On entend un peu les voisins mais rien de bien méchant

The apartment is located in a safe neighborhood close to the center, at a walk-able distance to several main attractions like Acropolis, Monastiraki square, Plaka, Ancient Agora, Philopappos hill and Zeus temple. There are plenty of options close-by for eating and for day-today shopping (supermarkets). The well equipped apartment is newly renovated and spacious and is accessible by lift. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped with modern stove, oven and microwave. The key collection and depositing process was pretty smooth. Although we did not meet in-person, the host was always reachable over the app and responded in a timely manner. The host was kind enough to accommodate our early check-in request between 11.00 am - 12.00 pm. As the piping is old, no paper goes into the toilets (including toilet tissue paper). Apparently, this is an issue that exists in many places in center of Athens. This was a learning for us. The host sent quick help to clear the clogging.

During our stay, on a rainy day in the interior bedroom had water seeping from the roof. It was found that there was a leak in the central heating pipes. This could not be fixed during our stay. So, for the remainder of our stay, we could not use that room. The host offered us another two bedroom apartment in a different location not far from the center. With the spacious living room with sofa and the other bedroom and two washrooms, the stay was manageable for three of us. So, we did not move. I docked-off one point in my final rating for this unforeseen incident. Otherwise, the stay was wonderful and would not hesitate to stay another time in this apartment.

The apartment was spotless clean. The beds were firm and comfy. There was two full bathrooms which helped a lot although they were both super small.

While the apartment itself was comfortable the building was noisy. The walls were paper thin and neighbors somehow liked to scream at 11 pm or midnight and early morning kids would go to school with a lot of noise. That was the only negative about this stay.

- geen warm water om te douchen - onvoldoende dekens (enkel een dun laken om onder te slapen + 1 deken voor 2 kamers. - 1 van de 2 badkamers stonk naar de riool.
