Yeoncheon Shineunsigan Pension

Where to begin, we loved it here! We booked here to get out closer to nature, and be closer to hiking and small town authentic Korean…which we received 100%! It was a journey for us (trains, buses, and walking), but it was fully worth it. We were welcomed by the couple (Foon & Hē) and shown in. We had a language barrier which was easily worked around. The place was very clean, comfortable, quiet, and located within a beautiful setting on the river. The best part about our stay, was Foon & Hē (my best at spelling their names in English). They were so kind and from the moment we walked up you could see the care they have put into their home. They took us in and showed us true Korean culture, like we couldn’t have imagined experiencing. Nothing can compare to the genuine excitement they had to share their culture and area with us. We saw places and heard histories first hand. We were shown the mountain side and monuments and historic landmarks which make this area very special. We ate authentic Korean food. Our time here made our whole trip more special than we could have planned.
