The quirky charm of the Alling House is unmatched! The privacy of the Homestead cottage was lovely and I appreciated the full kitchen, plus an in unit washer and dryer. It's a safe neighborhood with sidewalks for strolling, and the grounds around the homesites were priceless. There was outdoor seating, space to stretch out (and even play catch or have the kids run a bit outside.) It had the feeling of staying at your Auntie's house--and this is the Auntie that you love!
If you require brand new, this is not for you. If you appreciate well cared for history--be sure and stay at the Alling House.

We had the room with the loft - so it was semi private.
It was very dark getting to the cottage at night. We had to use our phones to guide us up the stairs to the front door.

Location near the Blue Spring SP. Easy access to restaurants.
Small room, very small bed, little storage space in bathroom. Booking listed this site as a free breakfast, but that was a mistake. They said they don't serve breakfast anymore. The owner should rename the home from a bed & breakfast.
