Review We absolutely loved our stay at Hello Mu Cang Chai. It’s run by a Hmong family who take care of you from the very beginning and make you feel like part of the family. ❤️ The views over the rice terraces are probably the best in all of Mu Cang Chai. They also rent motorbikes and organise tours, and we did a motorbike tour with them which was beautiful. We got to see amazing landscapes and places we would never have found on our own. The food was homemade, delicious and very generous. They also helped us organise all our transport and even came to pick us up directly from the bus stop, which made everything so easy. A huge thank you to Ly, De and the whole family for taking such good care of us and making us feel at home. 🥰 We would definitely recommend staying here if you visit Mu Cang Chai!

Hello Mu Cang Chai Homestay & Tours is extraordinary well located, in the middle of the rice fields. It is run by an extraordinary active, competent and nice woman. She was extremely helpful and provided us the best advice we could expect.

The location is superb, isolated and quiet on its own little hill. Our hosts were great and helped with everything from a trekking guide to a taxi onwards to Sapa. And the food was better that we had hoped after reading all the rave reviews. 8 different dishes each evening, all home cooked and all superb. Clean plates every evening. We had bungalow 8 which was spacious and had a good view from our terrace.

The mattress is pretty hard! We got used to it. It would be great to have some soft chairs somewhere to crash out in. They have a great terrace with stone benches and tables which have a great view, but I would have appreciated something softer too. It was no problem for us but there is a steep 200m walk from the car park to the homestay so be ready for this.
