I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms and property are absolutely beautiful. The amenities are top notch and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good highly suggest the typical Costa Rican breakfast.
My only note would be that I wouldn’t eat dinner there. It was overpriced for what you got. The tuna was poorly cooked and the octopus was chewy. I really enjoyed the burger, poke bowl, and mocktails they had.
Overall it has a Michelin key for a reason and you will reach a level of relaxation you only hope to achieve at other hotels.

For the money, ESH is a great deal. Very upscale, quiet, and the entire staff will accommodate every need or request at all times. It’s not on the coast, but rather up the hill about 5 minutes from town and the beach. Town is a happening place whereas ESH is simply peaceful. Best of both worlds.
