    Excellent Hotel in Colombo Next to the Beach Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams is an outstanding luxury hotel in the heart of Colombo, just a short walk from Galle Face Beach. The location is superb, with excellent restaurants, shopping malls, and many of the city's main attractions nearby. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and offer spectacular views over the ocean and Colombo skyline. The facilities are exceptional, with a magnificent infinity pool, excellent restaurants, and friendly, attentive staff who make every guest feel welcome. The staff are absolutely brilliant—professional, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The breakfast is outstanding, with an enormous selection of dishes from around the world. Whether you prefer a traditional English breakfast, authentic Indian cuisine, American favourites, fresh tropical fruit, pastries, or made-to-order eggs, there is something to suit every taste. The only drawback is the price. Rooms, dining, and drinks are all expensive by Sri Lankan standards, but if you're looking for a true five-star luxury experience, it is well worth the splurge. Overall, an exceptional hotel in a fantastic location—perfect for anyone wanting to experience Colombo in style. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka's vibrant capital.

    Cinnamon Life is a masterfully built hotel that exudes bold architecture and luxury. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is beyond amazing! Each item in the buffet is carefully prepared without altering its original roots. I highly recommend Cinnamon Life if you are looking for a high-end stay in Colombo.

    Our check-in experience was unfortunately disappointing and did not create the positive first impression one would expect from a reputed five-star hotel. It became clear that the reception team had very limited authority in the room-allocation process, as all decisions were controlled by a separate “room controller.” This structure not only slowed the process but also left the front desk unable to assist us immediately when we requested a simple room change on 4 December, as one of the assigned rooms was directly beside the elevator. It was surprising, as even smaller three-star hotels usually allow guests to view alternate rooms or accommodate reasonable change requests. Even the front desk manager was unable to help without seeking approval from the room controller, which highlighted an inefficient system and a lack of empowerment for the reception team. No welcome drinks were offered either, adding to the overall underwhelming start.
