Your Perch at University City

The Perch was unique in all the best ways! It was beautifully decorated, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well, and we had no issues using the TVs. Unfortunately, it rained during our stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor spaces, but the balcony was spacious, and the back patio was lovely and large as well. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and made it clear that we could reach out if we needed anything. They provided complimentary snacks and even accommodated a later checkout, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would definitely stay again!

A couple of things worth keeping in mind: the stairs are quite steep, so extra care may be needed with young children or anyone with mobility limitations. Sound also carries easily between floors and neighboring bedrooms, so conversations and movement can be heard from other parts of the house. Neither took away from our overall enjoyment, but they may be helpful considerations for future guests.

Very spacious and comfortable, clean bathrooms, memorable interior arquitectural features, great for large groups.

Despite closeness to Penn the Ludlow street location in that particular area feels very insecure after dark - abandoned houses, empty parking lots, homeless. It’s also a three story house with steep stairs- mindful if you have small children or ageing guests. No bathroom in the ground floor.

Great location near U Penn hospital. Roomy. Comfortable. Very clean. Host was highly responsive when we texted about initial difficulty with understanding the heat system. Kitchen well-stocked. Nice linens. Very near to many restaurants. Just a block from a grocery store and the subway. Also walked about 1mile to get to art museum through a nice neighborhood.

We had no problem, but warning that this would be a difficult property for people with limited mobility or balance: 1) Staircase to bedrooms is very steep and there is no bathroom on first floor, 2) Very stylish soaking tub in 2nd floor bathroom has a high rim and would be challenging to get in/ out (note that 3rd floor bathroom shower has low edge).
