Serena Home away Kilimani by Host Nancy

From the moment I arrived, the host, Nancy’s, warm welcome, set the tone for an amazing experience. She responded promptly when I needed extra cutlery, and her attentiveness truly warmed my heart. The apartment’s location is unbeatable; right in a prime area with easy access to public transport, and my Uber ride to Nairobi CBD cost only $1.50! Security and parking were excellent, the cleanliness was spotless, and the furniture was stylish and comfortable. I especially appreciated that all cleaning and washing detergents were thoughtfully provided. Restaurants and major retail outlets are conveniently located less than 100 meters away. Everything about this stay exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended. I would definitely book again!

They forgot to provide a mosquito net

The location was quite and easily accessible. The price was value for money for the apartment. Highly secure. The owner is quite calm.

The location is convenient for Uber and just a 2-minute walk to shops and restaurants. It feels relatively safe, the host communicated well and was friendly, and there’s ample parking (though traffic can get busy just outside the building).

The stay was disappointing. Several sockets and switches seemed unsafe (see photos). The bathroom sink was blocked for two days before it was fixed. No mosquito net, only an irritating spray. The kitchen wasn’t clean and had poor cutlery (no teaspoons, just a few odd spoons). The bed frame was broken, and the wardrobe door had come off and was left behind the bed. The wardrobe was too small to hang clothes properly. Curtains didn’t block light, and an important warning — don’t forget the key inside, as it’s a deadlock and you could be locked out completely, especially at night. The place really needs better maintenance and safety checks.
