Position, nice balcony, parking space and overall clean and comfortable. Good pod coffee machine.

The kitchen isn’t equipped as well as it could be. Not enough small bowls (only plastic) and no small saucepan or frying pan. No slice for frying eggs etc.

This place is exceptional. Maria met me at the property to let me in and hand over the keys. I felt welcomed immediately not just by Maria's lovely personality but the little touches in the apartment that greeted me - fresh fruit on the kitchen table, cold drinks in the fridge (including a beer!) and snacks in the cupboard. The unit was extremely clean and is very modern and well-decorated. Location-wise, it is close to the centre of Chania's shopping precinct, and only 10-15mins walk to Chania Harbour. I stayed here for 2 weeks and it became a home away from home. If you're a solo female traveller like I was, you'll be quite safe. The area is residential with some scattered shops, and the apartment is in a secured building. There is a fabulous bakery just around the corner and opposite the bakery is a small supermarket with everything else you'll need. Eat at the local restaurants for half the price of the ones on the Harbour and get to know the friendly locals.

You may hear some street noise at night from neighbouring streets. As it was summer, I used the air conditioner in the bedroom as white noise as well as keep the room cool on sticky warm nights.

It has everything you need, very clean, comfy bed, superb view of the mountains from the balcony, and the host is very welcoming, left us some fresh fruit and other snacks. The parking space is also a big plus for Chania.
