A perfect apartment for a family travelling with kids and dogs. The location is fantastic — Gdańsk Old Town is just around the corner, yet the apartment is in a relatively quiet area. On weekend evenings you may occasionally hear some singing or lively people passing by on the street side, but it never really bothered us. There is a dog park about 600 metres away and a playground at roughly the same distance, or even closer, which made the location especially convenient for us. The apartment is definitely not an IKEA-style modern rental — and we mean that in a positive way. It has a charming old-fashioned, retro, “grandma’s treasure” atmosphere and feels like a real home. The owners live here themselves outside the rental season, and we really appreciated being welcomed into such a personal and genuine space. The balcony is lovely for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, the beds were comfortable, and although the apartment is not modern, we found everything easy and practical to use. Communication with the host was fantastic — friendly, easy and very helpful throughout our stay. We had a very comfortable stay and would happily recommend it, especially to families with children and dogs who want to stay close to the heart of Gdańsk without being right in the middle of the busiest tourist streets.
