Our cabin has been a family getaway since the 1940s. Through the years the property has been enjoyed by family and friends, for vacations and memorable good times. Deep in the redwood forest, there are giants redwood trees to enjoy. Its located in a private gated community of 70 homes with a beautiful yard and deck. You can see and hear the sounds of Butano Creek from the deck. Many guests report the best sleep they've had, A great place to recharge and enjoy nature. Easy access to miles of hiking and biking trails. 5 miles to Butano State Park, 8 miles to Pescadero, 10 miles to beaches, 35 miles to Santa Cruz, 30 miles to Half Moon Bay and one hour to Stanford. Come and enjoy a peaceful stay in the Redwoods and just in case you need to get on the internet we have Wi-Fi too! We also have a 20% weekly discount and a 30% monthly discount if you want to stay a little longer. there is a pet fee for dogs

This was a wonderful getaway for us (a California couple) and our friends from NYC. We brought our most adorable little companion “Bud” (a Havanese), who absolutely fell in love with the forest. Thank you for being pet friendly!The cabin is set in a quiet enclave near Pescadero, surrounded by majestic redwoods. It is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm. We were surprised by how late we slept in each morning — a true sign of relaxation.I gave 4 stars for the accuracy of the listing only because the cabin was actually more charming than the photos suggested. So often wide-angle photography makes rentals look bigger than they are, but in this case it was the opposite — the cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. Spacious, well-kept, well-appointed, and simply magical.The Pescadero area makes for a fantastic getaway. For those unfamiliar, it’s tucked between Santa Cruz (a lively college town) and Half Moon Bay (close to San Francisco, popular on weekends). The coastline is rugged and special, with pelicans, seals, and even migrating whales at the right time of year. The redwood forests nearby are breathtaking. One practical tip: be prepared for stretches with little to no cell service, and download offline Google Maps before you go.All in all, we had a wonderful time in a very special place. Highly recommended for anyone looking to recharge in the beauty of the California coast and forest.
