Dormio Resort Maastricht Apartments

The very steep stairs and no lift (Stayed in Stededwinger 4) Lack of AC or at least a ceiling fan during heat wave.

The apartment was beautiful, everything new and relatively clean. It was very spacious and perfect for our group of 6 people. It was also a nice place to walk around, on the paths to the other properties. Overall a really nice accommodation.

Some of the appliances were not very strong and caused some discomfort. The first was the AC which barely worked - we were there on some very warm days and were forced to sleep with the windows open because of the lack of AC. We were unfortunate to have noisy neighbours which meant we didn’t get great sleep during the night. Second, the combi oven was incredibly weak, making things take twice the amount of time to cook. For our short stay we lacked the basic cooking necessities such as salt and pepper and it felt wasteful to buy these since we wouldn’t be able to take them with us after.

It was in a very quiet resort style location. Rooms were a good size. Bakery on site was a big hit. Bar staff on our second visit with DJ music were excellent.

We didn’t know that the rooms would not be serviced for five days. There were 3 of us in a two bedroom apartment with basically one full toilet roll. We had to ask for more and got told they would not usually be refilled!! No hairdryer, iron or ironing board so had to go and ask for them. Hairdryers are in all hotels these days!!! Restaurant and bar service was very slow and steak was tough on our first visit there. Staff acknowledged they had had other complaints that night.

The apartment itself was fine, clean, quite spacious, kitchen had all the basic needs. The "resort" has nice architecture.

Poor value for money, there is nothing in the 'resort' beside a really small swimming pool. No bilkiard, darts, kids'playroom, any social space
