布団が柔らかく、12時間爆睡でした。

施設は悪くないが、ナビで向かったら目的地付近でナビが終了してしまい、行き方がわからず迷った。

設備が新しいだけでなく、掃除が行き届いていた印象を受けたところ。 ■共用のキッチン・トイレ・浴室はピカピカ、白で統一されて、清潔感があって落ち着く空間でした。 ■個室のハンガー掛けの足に至っては、ホコリすらなかったです。 とても静かな朝を迎えることができたところ。 ■千波湖からすぐの静かな住宅街の中に位置していますが共用キッチンからは草むらが見えました。 ■朝、静けさと窓からのそよ風の中、持参したドリップコーヒーを淹れて飲むことができ、ビジネスホテルでは味わえない心地よいひとときでした。 オーナーさんが真面目なところ。 ■入浴後に「ちゃんとお湯は出ましたか?」とか、就寝の際「常夜灯の付け方を伝えそびれてました」など、いろいろ心配して下さっていました。 ■朝は、わざわざ共用キッチンのカーテンを開けに2階に上がってきてくれました。

初めて宿泊させていただいたので、水戸駅から徒歩20分強、たどり着くまでに少し迷ってしまったところ。 ■民泊施設初めての私は、入口もどこから入ったら正解なのかわからなくて、いろいろとドアをガチャガチャしてしまいました。

ゲストハウスとのことだったのですが、千波湖の近代美術館の裏の静かな環境で外観も素敵でした。個室で鍵もしっかり管理されていて、室内も清潔でとても落ち着いて過ごせました。宿泊のルールがしっかりしているので女性1人旅には安心でした。

公園内といってもいいくらい千波湖の近くなのでコンビニまで5分ほどかかります。施設内で自分で買って夕食や朝食をしたい場合は駅のお弁当を購入して行くことをおすすめします。時間が合えばオーナーさんが駅まで迎えに来てくれると言っていました。

Everything was clean and looked new. The comforter smelled nice. The room was small but comfortable. There was nothing bad about the facilities. It's in a quiet area, though the walls are rather thin, so you might be able to hear the person in the next room.

It's a 20-min walk to Mito Station and a bit difficult to find in the dark. There is no wifi. The biggest negative was the host. He was polite enough, but he values his rules above hospitality and the comfort of his guests. He called my phone 3 times to ask my arrival time when I wasn't even late. The next day, he called my phone in the morning. I didn't pick up. He called again in the evening. I didn't pick up again. He was hovering by the door when I came back, asking me if I'd gotten his calls because he wanted to remind me of the rules. He also knocked on my door at 10:30 at night just because I had forgotten indoor slippers, and he doesn't allow people to be barefoot. I get it. His house, his rules. But it sure doesn't make a guest feel entirely at ease. It's not a bad place to stay. Just be prepared to smile and nod at the host's need for authority. Being able to understand Japanese is also a plus.
