Eco Rich Villa

Very nice villa with big rooms! Cheap and close to the airport by Uber.

Could be a little cleaner (many hairs on the pillow).

Was a little hard to find from the road

It is a very peaceful and calm location. The owner Nilanka is very helpful and kind. She helped us with lifts to a local restaurant and boat trip at no charge. The rooms were spacious, clean and cool with the air con working well. Bathrooms were modern with hot showers. Breakfasts and evening meal were very good.

The shared Fridge is a bit disorganised but not a problem for us.

The "villa" is conveniently located in proximity to the airport but quiet, due to its location in the lagoon. We could check-in rather late, which was important for us.

Towels were not provided, but I believe this was a mistake. I had to search for towels in the house by myself (and I found them) because the housekeepers were going to bed after our late check-in - understandibly. The family room was rather basic and the balcony was too small to place a chair on. The garden didn't seem well maintained. The breakfast place in the central area and the cental kitchen area itself were also not very inviting. Maybe, all of this experience was because it was the low season when we came. It looks better on the photos and the name "Eco Rich Villa" promised more than we experienced.
