HOTEL SHANDON-2 Mins From Connaught Place

All staff very good and easy to communicate with. Breakfast was good and if I needed dinner it was also available A tour desk at the reception helped me to see everything I wanted. A great day In Jaipur The metro was handy and a car and driver available

Breakfast was more suited to indian culture, but there was still food that I enjoyed

The location was great, it was just a 12 minute walk from Connaught Place which is a very nice area to shop and eat. The room A/C worked great, the overhead fan was very powerful and helped drown out the sound of other guest at night. I really liked the shower, the water was always hot and the water pressure was great. The bed was comfortable and pillows soft, I slept great every night. The roof top breakfast was also a plus, they had the buffet option and also you can order off the menu, I ordered the banana honey pancakes which very very good. They buffet item I liked was called Puri Bhaji, it had potatoes in it and the flavor was amazing. The staff were good, when I came down with a stomach bug, the made me a traditional lemon tea to help me. The staff were very attentive, and a woman named Afsana was so attentive and made sure I was always on. There is also an amazing gym called Sharks gym literally a 30 second walk from the hotel that was great.

It would have been great if they had small wash clothes to shower with and was your face.

So the hotel is on the main road leading to Connaught place, we had a road-facing room and it was chaos, but this is Delhi so we expected it. It's a 2 minute drive, 10 mins walk to Connaught place but that didn't bother us. What we didn't expect was the hotel to be in quite a shady area with a nightclub next door and lots of people hanging around outside, so obviously this added to the noise and with a 7 month old baby it wasn't ideal. For the price I expected the hotel to be cleaner. The design of the rooms are nice but the finish wasn't great which spoiled the design. The staff seemed friendly enough and were helpful. Definitely wouldn't pay the price that we did to stay there again and I'm not overly sure where all the amazing reviews are coming from?
