Ooty Horizon Heights

The property was very clean, fresh and neat. Location is very good with the tea plantation view from 2 of 3 bedrooms. Each room was equipped with very clean bed, mattress and bathroom with hot water facility.

The TVs in the rooms were not working, we did not bother about it though as we did not need them. But they should have provided it as planned. Also, they charge extra thousand rupeed for the campfire, that is too much, ideally it should have been included with the room charge.

The location, although not very visible from the road, provides a good view and is close to the chocolate and tea factory. The rooms were clean.

Once you take the keys from the caretaker, you are on your own. During my stay, the electricity was gone, we waited for about 30 mins for it to come back. It did not. Called the caretaker to provide candles at least but he denied saying it's 7PM and I can't get it. Another time while returning from a spot, I understood, we would get late. Since we had a kid, I called the caretaker and asked if he could buy 500ml milk and keep it. He flatly denied saying it was late (7:30PM). I had to go towards the city and get it. One of the bathroom basin leaks. The soaps and handwash were not available and had to be requested. That, he provided. Also, if you are a non Tamil speaker, it may be a bit difficult to interact with Giri (that's the caretaker's name). His tries but his English is extremely difficult to understand. All in all, way too expensive for the facilities you get.
