Elwell Cottage

Great location near the station, Minster and town - very walkable. Exceptionally well equipped (even washing machine and dishwasher); very clean and comfortable; smartly decorated. Plenty of storage, good size kitchen/diner. Modern double glazed windows and internal shutters kept out any street noise (not that it was a busy street). Shutters adjustable to let in or block light as needed. A neat device was a motion detecting light on the landing which came on for a short time to guide you to bathroom at night (and could also be lifted out to use as a torch if needed). Going to look for one of those for home! A well organised binder of house info/rules/contacts - and general information about Beverley, suggestions for places to eat etc. Outside is a private back courtyard with table, chairs and large parasol, and lights around the fence for evening use. Welcome pack of (Yorkshire!) crisps, biscuits, tea, coffee, milk and scones/cream tea. A lot of time, thought and work has been put into making this a great place to stay.

The only small suggestion I'd make would be to add a short grab rail in the shower for anyone who's a bit unsteady or older (there is a good non-slip bath mat).

Top quality two bedroom house in a great location. Beautifully decorated and well maintained. Everything we needed was provided and nice touches included a complimentary bottle of wine and a cream tea!

Agency weren’t clear on the parking when I asked but the owners were very quick to respond and provide quick replies and it worked out very well.

No breakfast as it was self catering. The location was superb… a 2 minute walk from the railway station and a 2 minute walk into town. The house was newly refurbished in an attractive style, had all the necessary utensils and everything was in working order. I would stay there again.
