Welcome to Casa Pura Vida in the upper Valle Gran Rey in La Vizcaina on La Gomera.
This cozy and tastefully decorated Canarian farmhouse can accommodate up to 4 people.
Located in an enchanting, unspoiled corner of the valley, it is a retreat for rest and relaxation.
The recently renovated natural-stone house features a bedroom with a comfortable double bed (1.80 m), a living room with a sofa bed for 2 people (1.60 m wide), a separate kitchen, a bathroom, a large terrace in the garden, and a rooftop terrace. There are also several seating areas where you can retreat. The large trees next to the house and the small tropical garden with its chorus of birds make Casa Pura Vida an enchanting place with a very special atmosphere.
Ideally located between the mountains and the sea, it appeals to both beach lovers and hikers.
The House:
Recently fully renovated, this house—parts of which are over a hundred years old—combines traditional charm with modern comfort. In designing and furnishing the rooms, emphasis was placed on the use of natural materials.
The bedroom and living room are located in the old part of the house, built in the traditional natural stone style. Both rooms are connected by a lockable door. The patio leads to the bathroom and kitchen in the newer part of the house. All rooms also have direct access to the garden terrace. The living room features a TV with satellite reception. A reliable internet connection is also available, with Wi-Fi and outlets in every room.
The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dining area, a sofa, and a small covered terrace.
The bathroom has a shower. A washing machine is also available.
The terrace in front of the house is nestled in a small tropical garden with avocado, orange, lemon, banana, and papaya trees. A rooftop terrace with sun loungers invites you to relax.

The house is located in the village of La Vizcaina in the upper Valle Gran Rey, set back from the road at the intersection of three paths. All three paths lead to the road, so there are several ways to access the house. From the road, it’s an easy 100-meter walk to Casa Pura Vida.
Hikes into the mountains of La Gomera or through the beautiful Valle Gran Rey can be started right from the house. The sea and the beach are about a 10-minute drive away. There you’ll find all kinds of shopping options, restaurants, and bars. A 5-minute walk away is a typical Canarian mountain restaurant, the Bar Bodegón La Vizcaina.
