Discover this 3-bedroom gem in Rockbridge Baths. This amazing, custom made cabin offers a peaceful retreat with 1 queen bed, 1 full bed, 1 futon, and 2 twin beds. Enjoy the welcoming atmosphere with amenities like WiFi, heating, AC, and a laundry room. With 2 bathrooms equipped with a hair dryer, body soap, bathtub and shower, guests will feel right at home. There is a beautiful screened in porch, 1 indoor gas fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of room for indoor or outdoor eating, a gas grill, hot tub, river access and mountain views in a private, quite space next to the Maury River. Goshen Pass State Park is only 5 minutes away. The Retreat by the Rivah is 15 miles west of Lexington. We are approximately 12 miles from the Lexington Horse Center. We are an hour's drive to the Homestead in Hot Springs and days trips to ski at Massanutten Ski Resort and Water park or Snow Shoe are feasible and accessible. Historic Lexington offers unique shops and restaurants, perfect for W&L and VMI families. We are about 30 miles from Natural Bridge, a wonderful hike and destination to explore! Rockbridge Baths also has Jump Mountain trail (approximately a 7 mile hike with gorgeous view) and winery. Take a great hike, enjoy the view and the legend. Later celebrate your efforts at Jump Mountain winery, open on weekends, for wine tastings. There is so much more to explore in this special place and surrounding areas. Rivah cabin was a perfect spot to relax and reset between graduation events. It was neat and clean. Beautifully decorated and comfortable for the family. Wish we had more time to enjoy the river. Host was very helpful and the house had everything we needed to feel like we were at home. Wi-Fi worked great so even though the cabin is located in a rural area , Wi-Fi calling was all we needed.

We were in town for VMI commencement. The property is about 20-25 minutes from Lexington. It was just perfect. Very comfortable beds and linens. The screen porch provided a great place to relax, hang out and eat”outside.” The cabin feels like a home where our family just settled in. Local cows on the property next door in the very early morning and deer bedded down on the hill behind the hot tub. There was a woodpecker and cardinals singing in the trees! We spent some time on the rocks down at the river and were able to get a quick 2 mile (safe from the winding roads) run in from the cabin and back. We just loved it and wished we could stay longer. Betsy is a great host - very responsive.

Cabin was rustic, but very comfortable. Character! Well-appointed. Owner was extremely easy to work with and very friendly. Convenient to Washington and Lee University via back roads.

It was a great hideaway where we could walk, rest, eat and celebrate! A little bit of a drive (15 min) to campus, so it’s not like you are staying downtown. However, if you are from any city, it’s no big deal! Screened in porch with a swing, a fire pit and a hot tub! Such attention to detail in the house and so clean! We will be back for future stays! :)
