Muy cómoda y acogedora

The Casa de Campo is a charming property, that is spacious and well appointed. It is conveniently located a few blocks away from bars and restaurants, with a butcher+convenience store right next door. We liked the country feel, with farm animals, many birds and neighbour's pets roaming nearby,

We did not get to meet Regi, the owner, who was out of town, but did keep in contact with her during our stay. An issue did come up that caused us concern: the front door lock did not work properly and it was a struggle each time we wanted to lock or unlock the door. Regi initially sent her caretaker Yolanda to help us unlock the door, but the problem recurred. When we asked for the lock to be replaced Regi explained that there was no locksmith in Colonia Carlos Pellegrin. We were surprised by her reply as in most properties someone is responsible for property maintenance, even in the remotest location. We also found that a few other items in the property require maintenance: the L-shaped sofa was dirty and cats appear to have used it as a scratching post, so it is in very poor condition. A properly fitted clean sofa cover could help with this. We also found the metal dishdrainer was rusty possibly because of the saltiness in the water and not suitable to be used for clean dishes. The benchtop electric oven had rusted racks and was dirty so we avoided using it. As mentioned in other reviews, some fly-screens are in poor condition and would need to be replaced. This would be important during the warmer months. All just minor things that proper housekeeping could easily and inexpensively address.
