A pleasant off-season stay with good comfort, friendly service, and some room for improvement

This is a new property with a modern, well-thought-out design. It's a few minutes' walk to the beach and, while not in the busy part of Canggu, there are some close-by options for food and drinks. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa with a private pool. The layout is pleasant, with a pathway from the lobby and villas on both sides, which I imagine creates a lively atmosphere during busier periods. We visited in the off-season, so it was very quiet and uncrowded. The room itself was gorgeous, with excellent air conditioning. The outdoor bathroom and shower were unusual at first, but given the Bali temperatures, they turned out to be a very enjoyable feature. We opted for the included breakfast; while there were plenty of options, not many catered to our partly vegan preferences. Overall, breakfast was fine but not a standout. The private pool was great for cooling down, although a bit small for proper swimming. The staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. Also, we had a gecko overnighting with us. Was very polite and quiet.

Cleanliness could be improved slightly, particularly for the private pool. The sliding door to the room was difficult to open, which became frustrating. The main rooftop pool was partially unavailable, and when it was open, there was ongoing construction nearby, which affected the experience. Also, the coconut drink I wanted for breakfast was never available and the wi-fi was functional, but not great.

An exceptional stay at Canggu Beach ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely staff, hospitality, rooftop pool with exceptional sunrise and sunset views, eco friendly ways of packaging things, creative decorations upon arrival, delicious breakfast and room service, personal pool to relax after a long day of sightseeing, all in all the best part of our Bali experience. Also, so close to echo beach and its collection of beachfront restaurants and bars. Highly recommend this place and their members who run the place giving a serene atmosphere for visitors.

The rooftop pool was so nice and you could see the sunset over the sea. But the main thing that stood out was the staff they were all so friendly and helpful at all times and really made our stay the best it could have been.

Amazing stay in Canggu

The location was perfect. We were close from everything in Canggu. The hotel staff were all super lovely and sweet, always tried to pamper us with everything we need. It took us 10 mins by foot to reach Echo beach or La Brisa. I will be coming back here for sure.

A gym would be nice to have but it wasn't a deal breaker. Overall nothing was bad.

Short and sweet trip to Atap, Cannghu

The property is fairly new and is in a great location close to La Brisa beach bar, a beautiful collection of restaurants and bars, cafes etc but still in an up and coming area so not overly noisy! Our suite had everything we needed in a modern minimalist style with a lovely comfortable bed. The bathroom was also great, with a beautiful stone bath and amazing rainfall shower! The staff at Atap were incredible and couldn’t do enough for you! They were friendly and helpful and always ready to meet your needs. The pool is lovely!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. There isn’t a restaurant on site yet but there are so many to choose from close by and the breakfast ordered in by the hotel was amazing!

- Great location right near the beach, but a quiet street. Plenty of cafes and massage nearby - WIFI was fast and reliable - Food was fantastic, included breakfast was delivered to the room - Room facilities are perfect. International power sockets are installed everywhere and the room itself is beautiful - Rooftop pool is stunning

Significant construction works nearby, probably related to the reduced price of rooms at the moment. It won't keep you awake when inside your room and wasn't obtrusive during my stay

A traumatic and unacceptable experience. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

On the last day of my stay, I witnessed a man sexually abusing a cow, from the window of my room. Horrified, I immediately asked the hotel staff for help. To my shock, they refused to call the police and claimed they didn’t even know the emergency number. They made me wait for hours, from 6:00 PM until after 9:30 PM, saying we had to wait for the manager’s decision — who never showed up. Eventually, several men dressed in civilian clothes arrived with a threatening attitude. At first, we thought one of them was the manager, but it turned out they were local village authorities. They refused to involve the police and said they would "handle it" with a traditional ceremony. One of the men was even a relative of the abuser. We were indirectly threatened and pressured not to share the video we had recorded. The hotel never apologized, never offered protection or any real help. They left us completely unprotected, afraid, and confused. It was a horrifying situation. This hotel is located in a “cultural village,” which means that in case of a serious incident, you cannot count on help from the police or formal authorities. Even more disturbing is the fact that the victim was a cow — a sacred animal in Hindu culture — and the incident was minimized, with staff saying the man “had mental issues,” as if that were an excuse. If you care about safety, dignity, and animal welfare, do not stay here.

Geweldige villa om te relaxen

Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De ontvangst was hartelijik. De villa subliem. Mooie architectuur en inrichting. We hebben genoten van een goed bed, lekker ontbijt op bed, een fijn privé-zwembad en een jacuzzi met heel veel schuim :-)

Canggu ligt relatief ver van Denpasar en het verkeer is er extreem druk.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Cangguu. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und toll ausgestattet. Der Pool ist ein Highlight! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und es gibt einige Angebote, wie Massagen, die man vor Ort dazubuchen kann. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Struttura accogliente ma ancora in costruzione; la piscina è piuttosto piccola; la piscina privata nella camera riceve la luce del sole al massimo per 1-2 ore al giorno e quindi è poco sfruttabile. Struttura molto pulita. La colazione è buona, ma devi ordinarla il giorno prima.

La posizione non è delle migliori, circondato da cantieri. La piscina privata è scarsamente sfruttabile e dovrebbero essere fornite sdraio con materassino.

Le séjour le plus mémorable de Bali

Nous sommes arrivés très tôt et par chance, nous avons pu rentrer dans la chambre bien avant l’heure. La villa est magnifique, tout est très pratique, confortable bien équipé, on se sent tout de suite chez soi et même plus. La literie est une des meilleures qu’on ait eues. J’y ai découvert tous les avantages d’Alexa, on a l’impression d’être dans le luxe. Leur cuisine est tout simplement délicieuse, nous nous sommes régalés du petit déjeuner au déjeuner. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux. J’y ai mangé la meilleure omelette que j’ai jamais goûté. Tout le monde se met en quatre pour vous rendre le séjour aussi agréable que possible. C’était super de pouvoir tout demander par WhatsApp, les réponses étaient immédiates et le service adéquat aussi. L’eau de la piscine est changée tous les jours et il y a même des jets de massage. La piscine sur le toit, vous offre une vue exceptionnelle sur l’océan et les alentours. Merci pour ce séjour mémorable, c’est comme cela que devraient être tous les hébergements. On peut dire que c’était parfait. Nous en avons eu bien plus pour notre argent que n’importe où ailleurs
