I discovered a wonderful island getaway, and it exceeded my expectations. I opened the door to Serenity Place and immediately loved its beautifully decorated and cozy spaces. My favorite room was the screened-in corner porch, where I set up my laptop to work, and watching the squirrels and butterflies was a welcome distraction. The owners, John and Kris, thoughtfully prepared a binder with lots of helpful information about the property and the island. I especially appreciated how clean the condo was. The location is walkable to a grocery store and several restaurants, including an awesome bakery, Dulce Dough. I picked up the bike path across the street and had fun exploring the island on two wheels—one section is parallel to the small airport and it was fun to ride along and watch the planes take off and land. I really enjoyed my stay at this St. Simons gem!
