- Three minute walk to Bear Lake that has a public beach & boat launch. Bear Lake is home to a variety of fish such as pickerel, Northern pike, Large & small mouth bass, The Mighty Muskellunge, & pan fish, making it a perfect spot for fishing.

- 30-minute drive to Burk's Falls
- 40-minute drive to Huntsville
- 60-minute drive to Algonquin Provincial Park

Overall impression. Location is isolated and is quite far from stores. The house itself was clean and neat but primitive. We were thankful for the air-conditioning the first night. We found the fee a bit much considering the lack of any luxury in the home. If you are ok with bare bones then this would work but if you are looking for hotel type accommodations, this is definitely not your place. This should be noted in cottage description. Also screen door could only be closed by locking it from.inside or laying a brick against it from the outside. Bathroom sink leaked very badly and thus had to turn water on underneath sink when using it. Bit of a nuisance.
