Tam Coc Peaceful Hotel

Clean room with very friendly owner If your there for a short time and looking for something close to the restaurant and ticket office it's a good choice.

Nice little hotel I liked it, it's clean close to the town within walking distance restaurants just along the road

Stayed in this hotel on May 2-3. 730k per night, as of time writing this post it went up to 850k. Here are some good sides: 1. Actually the hotel is pretty new, so it does not feel like a run down place. 2. If you came specifically for Tam Coc, you will find it suitable, at just 10 min walking distance. 3. Generally, the room was ok, one-night stay is what it is made for. Now things which I didn't like (just my opinion), room 502: 1. Parking for private motorcycles was terrible. I guess the whole place (Tam Coc) is going through renovation, but still. You might get your tire easily punctured. 2. The front desk smile beautifully but a lot of miscommunication happened due to language levels difference. Using google translate is fine for me, but you expect a highly touristy place to be in English, dont you? 3. The room itself had no soap, which is a big thumb down from my side. 4. The tap was not working properly, just a small trickle of water running down. 5. The mountain view, which I booked my room for, was half-closed by another building. I guess, that one has been built recently. 6. One of the bottles of water in the room was open. 7. AC faces the bed directly, although the wind flow can be adjusted, still creates discomfort while sleeping. 8. TV set is a bit out-of-date. Youtube wasn't working properly. 9. Breakfast was ok, but having 3-in-1 instant powder in a country that has proper coffee at every corner is a joke. I mean drip coffee does not cost that much, right? Especially if you pay 730k per night. 10. Most of the free bikes, that were so much advertised, are actually unusable. I found one, but spinning it was a torture. Overall, I'd say its ok for one time check-in, which is probably the case for most of you arriving to Ninh Binh. Mind you, that Tam Coc is not really Ninh Binh itself. Its 15 min driving away from the Old Town. Wish the team improvements and success.
