Apartamento Paraíso Playa Chica Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The apartment was very comfortable and well thought out. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals, including a stovetop espresso maker, a good-sized fridge and freezer, and an oven, so it is ideal if you want a self-contained trip. Marco had even left coffee, oil, salt, washing-up liquid and laundry detergent, which saved us buying things you wouldn't normally bring on holiday. Whenever I went looking for something, it was there. There is plenty to keep you entertained: bodyboards, snorkels and masks for the beach, plus games, balls and table tennis, and a telescope on the balcony. Air conditioning and a TV too, and the Wi-Fi was reliable throughout with no drops. The bed was comfortable and we slept really well, helped by how quiet it is at night, with just the sound of the sea. The view of the ocean is absolutely stunning. The location is superb, around 10 to 15 minutes' drive past San Andrés, where you can stock up at the supermarkets on the way. You get a private beach shared among the residents, reached by a lift down to the ground floor, with lovely black volcanic sand. Parking was always easy to find, and everything was spotless. Communication with Marco was excellent and his instructions were clear; check-in was via a key box, so we could let ourselves in without having to meet anyone.

Very little. The building's gate can be a bit finicky until you get the hang of it, but that's the building rather than the apartment. You'll need a car to get there, and mobile data is poor so close to the apartment given its remote location, though the Wi-Fi more than makes up for it.

Absolutely everything. The view is exceptional, the location is beautiful, and the apartment really felt like a home away from home. One of our favourite things was being able to hear the sea throughout the apartment — it was simply magical. Everything was perfect for us, and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Honestly, there is nothing we can complain about. Everything was excellent, from the apartment itself and the location to the incredible views. The only thing worth mentioning for future guests is that having a car is really important, as the property is not easily accessible by public transport. It is also a good idea to do some grocery shopping beforehand. Other than that, we truly have nothing negative to say.

The location is wonderful and very peaceful. It sits directly on the beautiful Playa Cueva beach, and it’s only a 3-minute walk to Playa de Las Gaviotas, which felt incredibly private and empty in the mornings. We also really enjoyed the big balcony.

The check-in process was a bit complicated due to a misunderstanding after we changed our arrival time, which meant we couldn't access the building or apartment right away. Inside, the sofa and the kitchen dishes had a bit of an older, musty smell to them.
