Very clean apartment, excellent location. There are homeless people in the immediate neighborhood, but it is not unsafe. Since this is a US City, you'd have to stay aware of your surroundings, and peacefully ignore homeless people who may beg you for support. If you are the type that loses your wits when you see a homeless person of a different race outside your accommodation, perhaps this is not the place for you. But if you are reasonably aware and smart, there is no safety issue whatsoever.

There was a problem with checking in. I reached the apartment at 9 am on the day after my first night (since I missed the connecting flight) and the front desk said my details had not been communicated to them. I had trouble contacting the reservation person as they had not given me a number and there was no internet available. Finally when the front desk called them, they promptly confirmed and I was let into the residential area. This process took 15 - 20 minutes. Like a different reviewer, I also saw one small cockroach during my stay. This was in the bathroom at 3 am (middle of night). I think it came through the sewers. The tower is a bit old and not the best maintained. The apartment, however, is spotless and very well maintained, with clean utensils, Keurig machine, heater, iron, TV etc.

The location is ideal; just a few minutes' walk from the subway station and surrounded by plenty of dining options. The communication with the hosting agent is seamless, and there is a concierge at the building's entrance available 24 hours a day. The laundry machines and dryers, located on the basement level instead of in the room, are efficient and easy to operate. Although there is a small fee ($1.75 each), credit cards are accepted.

Some equipment needs improvement. It was difficult to adjust the shower temperature, and the water flow was insufficient. The washbasin in the bathroom was small, with limited space for placing items.

Location and price

None of the remotes worked and tv was on when we arrived. Had to unplug it to sleep. Bed was too soft and small to share so slept on bed and couch, but there were no extra blankets/bedding.

Loved that it was convenient and we booked pretty last minute. The property was clean and comfortable. Very good communication!

The only issue for us was the ceiling fan not working and we could not figure out the AC. Not a big deal. Just a few little touches.
