No privacy if you stay for couple and the kitchen and the balcony the opposite house can see like literally see what is going on in the house

The unit size is spacious for a couple in a studio apartment. I liked how the main living space floors were vinyl which is not cold when stepping on it. Unit is relatively clean. There were quite a number of r&f listings with mentions of cockroaches and we didn't see any in this unit, thankfully, only small drain flies and one mosquito which we were okay with. The unit we chose is located on the 8th floor which is the same level as the bridge access to r&f mall. This was convenient as we didn't have to take a lift down or up. It's also on the same level as the facilities, like swimming pool, gym, games rooms. We didn't have a chance to utilize those but would like to next time. Shampoo, body wash, towels and toothbrush/toothpaste were provided. We also loved that there was a washing machine in the unit as well. There's a durian stall right beside the building which we were able to enjoy the last night. in r&f mall, there are massage parlours that are open till late. It was convenient to walk back to our unit after our massage. There are not much shops opened yet in the mall, but it was enough for a short trip in jb. There's a relatively big jaya grocer in the mall too. So, that's very convenient to drop by for basic necessities. The security there is tip top! I felt really safe during my stay there. At the access bridge to the mall, there will always be a security guard guarding the gate and holding the gates open for us. I appreciate the welcome and good night greetings each time we pass through. Same with the lobby guards. At night, there will also be guards patrolling the area. We accidentally went to the wrong building stack when entering from the facility level and wasn't allowed to enter. In a way, this gave us peace knowing that only residents staying in the same stack, same block, will have access to enter the block building. Overall, I would still recommend this place for the price and experience.

We specifically chose R&F for the direct walking of the bridge from ciq but the bridge was cut halfway where I had to carry my luggage down the staircase, walk to another staircase and carry it up the stairs again to reach the r&f mall. There is no lift. I wish this was conveyed to us prior to booking. The bridge is said to be fixed by 30th June 2025 but I doubt it would be done by then judging by the progress when we left. Best to check beforehand especially if carrying luggages! We avoided the bridge like a plague due to the stairs and only used it again when we checked out since that's the only way to get to ciq. I accidentally booked the unit without a tv which was partly my fault for not checking properly. I just thought they didn't put the tv in when taking the photo 😅 But it definitely would have been better with a tv in the room! Nevertheless, it was an opportunity for me to cut down on my screentime and read a book instead which I did. There is a window in the kitchen above the sink which overlooks a door to another unit, I suppose? It would be good if the windows were frosted or have a curtain for privacy. We covered the windows with whatever we could find around the unit. There is no bidet in the toilet. Strangely, there seems to be remnants of what looks to be like a bidet water pipe on the wall, like as if there was a bidet previously but it was removed. It would be more convenient if there was one. The bed mattress was hard. Would be good if a soft mattress topper can be placed on top of the mattress. The sofa was softer than the bed tho! Also noticed that the mattress fitted sheet barely fits the mattress. It looks like a queen sheet on a king sized bed. Super convenient to have a washing machine in the room, but would be good if there's a drying rack of some sort to hang laundry.

Well maintained and clean. Adequate toiletries provided. We appreciate the host provided bottles of drinking water too.

1. The aircon seems a bit weak even at 22 degrees but lucky there was ceiling fan to circulate the air. Not a major concern. Just something guests should take note 2. We are non-smokers but there was strong cigarette smell just outside of the property. Luckily no smell inside the unit that we stayed in.
