The location was superb, the apt was generally very well equipped and the view to die for.

There was a strong order from the shower drain and no furniture for the balcony

Positives : Lovely apartment with a large comfortable bed (firm mattress), nice bedding and towels. Large comfortable sofa in the living . Lovely view from the balcony Great location with bars and shops on your doorstep. I had read other reviews about the noise from these bars so took ears plugs as I am I light sleeper. Good WiFi Plenty of hot water and powerful shower Oksana and her husband who manager the apartment were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

Negatives : The bedroom is overlooked by the neighbouring balconies meaning who had to keep the curtains closed all of the time for privacy . No sun on the balcony during our stay. The pharmacy opposite was open all night our first 2 nights while we were there so you had a neon green light flashing in bedroom. Blackout curtains would easier resolve this The bathroom has occasionally an unpleasant drain smell. The apartment is on the top floor up three flights of narrow stairs, not great for getting your cases up there or if you have mobility issues. The young couple who rent the apartment next door are heavy smokers and the unpleasant smoke smell hits you as soon as you start walking up the last few flights of stairs. They are also extremely noisy . We stayed 8 night and apart from 3 of those they woke us up in the early hours, despite my earplugs . They would come home 12:30 / 1 ish early morning , put the TV on , crash around, laugh and talk loudly until they went to bed at 3/4ish then making a hell of a lot more noise in the bedroom which is adjacent to yours !

Lovely view, nice bathroom, good storage, good use of available space. Ideally located in the centre of everything. Great to have 2 very nice restaurants literally on the doorstep and good to have a chemist right opposite.

Didn’t appreciate that there was nothing in the description informing prospective guests that the flat is up 3 flights of steps with no lift. Parking is mentioned as available on site but this is very misleading as there is only parking in the street and it’s pot luck if you can obtain a parking spot nearby. Inside the flat the bed was very uncomfortable, with only 2 small flat pillows on the bed. Thankfully by chance I managed to find 2 neck pillows in one of the wardrobes. No washing up liquid, not even a couple of tablets for the washing machine or dishwasher. A couple more mugs would have been good too. It would also have been great not to have to fight to separate the 2 plastic IKEA chairs on the balcony and the old, rusty, unstable airer was unfit for purpose. Everything was spotless except for the bottom of the shower walls where the tiles had a yellow tide mark.
