Host & Stay - Oyster Cottage

The house was perfect, clean with everything you needed there.

The amount of steps leading up to the house, which with a relative with a bad leg was not the easiest,

The location . Literally 3 minutes walk into town ! There was adequate space for 4 adults and 1 17 year old . It was comfortable and had quality finishes . Other than the things I pointed out it was clean and tidy .

The parking space is small and very very difficult to get into and out of . Couldn’t find the bins . There are around 35 steps to access the property . This should be made very clear on page one . We took grandad with us who had a stroke last year . He is doing amazing and managed it daily but it was very difficult . There are 3 steps into the appartment ( from the outside ) with no handrail at all . I wanted to use the outside space which is great , but , it is absolutely filthy . This has not been cleaned in days / weeks , never mind the night of our arrival . The cushions were stored in a cupboard which was under the stairs . When I opened it the ironing board fell on me causing an injury . The vacumn cleaner was thrown in there , an iron too and various other items had just been “ pushed “ in there . It was dangerous and untidy . The bunk bed bedrooms blinds were thick with dust . It was difficult in the kitchen to store food as there were no food storage cupboards .

Great location , but you need to be fit to manage the stairs.

The parking bay allocated to this property is very tight to get your car into…. Anything bigger than a Fiat 500 and you’re going to struggle.

It was close to the town centre

It took 60+ steps to get from your car to the living room. Parking was very, very tight and confusing. You would think that flat 8 would use parking space 8, but no, it was number 13, and they didn't tell you that on the paperwork.
