Cottage in Walton on the Naze

We needed emergency accommodation due to a water issue at home, Liz was kind and understanding. The house has everything you need, the street is quiet and the view of the church is lovely. Close to the beach and shops, easy to get to public transport. The beds are comfy. The bath is a luxurious treat.

Great location and well equipped

It is in a great location with just a short walk to the beach. Owner’s communication was great. Nice enclosed backyard that is dog safe and had a clean outside toilet.

This is not the usual home from home that we normally stay in. It has mismatched furniture and poor finishing touches eg bathroom and missing tiles in the kitchen - see photos We had worked it out from the photos but it should be more clearly stated in the description that the only inside toilet is in the bathroom off the main bedroom so any guests in bedroom two have to walk through bedroom one to use the toilet. The bottom step down into the bathroom is not attached, consequently, it's dangerous. It’s only free parking for 24 hours and then you have to pay for the parking in the car park which is only five minutes away but, again, this needs to be in the description. At the moment, it is only mentioned in one of the questions/answers Broken blind in bedroom 2 so light floods in very early in the morning Also the stairs are very steep so not for anyone with mobility issues. It has huge potential, just needs updating to a higher standard.
