Casa Mercaderes

The unit is in a central location close to the beautiful family centred Plaza del Mercado, close to shops, bars and restaurants. Although the apartment is located in the first floor there is an elevator for accessibility. The unit was very clean when we received it, and the common areas and stairs are always clean. The hosts were supportive and quick to reply for questions in advance and during our stay. The kitchen has all essential supplies, which was important for our long stay in town. We stayed in this apartment for over a week and the noise mentioned by other people is mostly on the weekends. We didn’t have any issues with the noise from the bars nearby because we used the fans as white noise.

There is no parking in the building but we used the free parking lots nearby - not an issue as we enjoyed the walk by the Iglesia de Santiago. It was challenging to bring the car over to the building to load and unload our luggage. This place does not have an AC and we stayed there during the July heat weave. It was too warm at night. Even thought we kept the fans on and the blinds closed, the air was too warm. Later in the week when temperatures cooled down, the nice breeze in the evening cooled the space and the fans were great. In the living room, there is a carpet and a suede couch which attract heat which is fantastic for winter months but for summer season it would be best to remove the carpet and place cotton covers in the couch.

La ubicación era excelente y el apartamento era muy agradable.
