The rooms, view, and pool are fantastic. We will be staying here again, but we won’t be eating there. It does need to improve on a place for you to bring outside food and be able to sit and enjoy with your family on a reasonable budget, if you are travelling in a group it’s hard to find a comfortable place to spend time together.
The restaurant prices are very high and they overcharged for our drinks. The first time we stayed they didn’t have change for a bottle of water so we paid $10 CAD (1000jad) for small bottle of water. The second time we brought people with us and went to the restaurant for a light meal, they made up for us ordering appetizers by charging over 20/drink. We paid around 190 CAD for 3 bruschetta’s, 1 small salad- drenched in dressing- and 4 margaritas served in a small martini glass - the drink menu was taken away and they didn’t have what we wanted to order, and they brought a substitute.
The next night we went to Portland Jerk for takeout, and ate full meals (they have more than jerk) for 30cad for all 4 of us, and our third night was a sit down dinner at Roots 21 with apps, dinnner, multiple drinks for 130cad.
There are reasonable options out there, with the location of this hotel it could be hard for people to travel for food, I would hate to be stuck there without a vehicle, the rooms may be affordable and may give a sense of affordability, but they will get you at the restaurant.
The majority of the staff is fantastic, very friendly. The rooms are nice, it’s good to have mosquito repellent with you – even in the room.
