Die Kliphuis - Parys

A hidden gem that exceeded every expectation Kliphuis exceeded every expectation. I already loved the photos and reviews and knew we were in for a special weekend, but the reality was even better. It is difficult to put into words how beautiful and thoughtfully curated this place is. The house is filled with detail — beautiful wooden furniture, stunning pottery, and a warmth and comfort that make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Everything has been done with care and taste. The farm itself is just as special. The hiking trails are exceptional: well-marked, peaceful, varied, and such a pleasure to explore. It is also an absolute paradise for dogs. Our dogs loved the dams and had the best time joining us on the different trails. Kliphuis is one of those rare gems you wish you had discovered sooner. We will definitely be back.

Need to address the plumbing system as blocked drain smell has to be taken care of.

Quiet and peaceful farm cottage about 10 minutes outside of Parys. Very easy to access the town but far enough away in the bush that you feel calm and relaxed. There are braai facilities at the cottage and hiking trails on the property.

There are no walls between the beds - it is all open plan. If you are going as a group of people, or anything other than as a couple, privacy is limited.

Airconditioning did not heat the house. It would benefit hugely from a fireplace
