As advertised but even better - surprisingly warm during our winter stay and kitchen was well kitted out for self catering. Abundant bird life and spa was in the perfect spot for relaxing.
Bed was a little firm for us but we fixed that with a feather duvet and slept like babies.

We spent my birthday here for a quiet spot in between hike days. The hottub was marvelous and the bed SO comfortable! We slept so well! The host had it warmed up for us as it was a bit chilly weather when we arrived. It was a perfect place to come relax after busy days around the area.

Lovely view from the spa. Everything is very well-maintained. We felt so cosy and welcomed here at this location. Everything was set up to run smoothly and we didn't want for anything. Also got engaged here and couldn't have asked for a sweeter, more romantic spot to do that! :)

The cottage is very comfy and cozy, 8 mins drive outside Raglan, on a quiet street up a hill with a lovely distant view of the bay and the hills beyond. It's very peaceful, with many birds and cidadas chirping. We heard the Morepork (Ruru) owl calling at night. Loved the hot tub (enjoyed star gazing from there at night) and the comfy chairs on the deck for reading and relaxing.
