Casa Famiglia 1910

De communicatie verliep zeer vlot! Ondanks de sleutels in een kluisje lagen, werden we toch persoonlijk onthaald. We kregen meteen een rondleiding en de nodige info. Het huisje is zeer leuk en mooi, wij vonden het fijn om met z'n allen in dezelfde ruimte te liggen, met toch nog de nodige privacy. De tuin en het zwembad zijn prachtig! Het huisje was praktisch ingericht en we hadden alles wat we nodig hadden. Doorheen ons verblijf bleef de communicatie vlot en was de host zeer behulpzaam (qua vervoer, eten, ...). Het enige minpuntje is dat het stadje Malonas zeer afgelegen ligt en er weinig te beleven valt. Er is ook geen zee op wandelafstand. Er is één restaurantje (wel een aanrader: Taverna Eirini) en een klein supermarktje met een zeer lieve en behulpzame vrouw achter de kassa. Het is dus wel aan te raden een auto te huren. Wij hebben alles met de taxi gedaan wat soms qua prijs wat opliep.

Great vacation rental, very nice house with great pool and outdoors area. Located in a quiet village which is perfect if that is what you are after. Facilities in the village in walking distance, but a large range of restaurants etc is available within a very short drive. Kyriaki was very helpful and I had a great time.

A Unique and Unforgettable Stay at Casa Famiglia 1910 in Malona! Our stay here was truly unforgettable. The casa is an old family home that has been in Kyriaki’s family for generations, dating back to 1910, and you can really feel the history and love in every corner, including the writing on the cupboard door about her great great grandfather buying pigs on a 17th February a long time ago! The house has been beautifully restored, keeping many of the original and traditional features while also including a extension with a fully equipped kitchen. The combination of old and new is done perfectly. The beds are mezzanine level and very comfortable. The outdoor area is fantastic with private pool, lovely eating area, and plenty of space to relax and soak up the sun. It was the perfect spot to unwind. We absolutely fell in love with Malona village itself: it’s peaceful, picturesque, and full of friendly locals. The village has very few tourists, which made our experience even more authentic and special. A lovely highlight was the most amazing woman who runs the local shop....she bakes fresh bread every morning and was an absolute breath of fresh air, always so kind and happy to see us each day. The local restaurant was also fantastic, serving delicious home-cooked Greek food that we loved. During our stay, we even adopted the coolest local cat for the week, whom we named Miss Puurrty—she really made us feel like part of the community! Kyriaki was a wonderful host, always making sure we had everything we needed and sharing great recommendations for local restaurants and sights. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for an authentic, peaceful, and beautiful place to stay in Rhodes, I can’t recommend this place enough.
