Frankie's house

Logement très spacieux et lumineux, très bien équipé et très confortable. Emplacement très bien situé, à la fois à proximité de la gare, des commerces et du centre-ville. L accueil très chaleureux de la propriétaire qui nous a apporté des spécialités siciliennes et nous a conduit à la gare le jour de notre départ.

Voisinage parfois un peu bruyant.

It was a marvellous stay — the apartment was well-equipped and thoughtfully designed to meet visitors’ needs. The service was very nice and professional. It’s a great place to stay for both short and longer visits. The owner was incredibly helpful, always informing us about local attractions and supporting our needs. Thanks to her, we were able to experience life like locals, even attending a traditional evening fest with local food and wine.

The photos don't do this place justice. It's all newly renovated. One bathroom has a shower, the other a bath. The host is wonderful. She helped us rent a car as we were going to explore the north. The apartment is very comfortable. Restaurants are open in the evening after 20:00 about 10 minutes from the apt, and the beach is also about a 10 min walk. Mostly locals, not many tourists. The train station is about 15 minutes away. No taxis. We used Riposto as a base to travel on the Syracuse-Taormina - Messina train line to explore the cities on its route. We also did the circumetnea train (loud diesel train) from Catania (take the bus to Paterno) to Riposto and walked to the apartment.

Makkelijke communicatie met de host Franca, duidelijke instructies van het zelf check in. Ruim en gratis parkeergelegenheid naast het appartementen complex. In 5-7 minuten bereik je lopend een lokaal supermarkt Conad en in een minuut of 10 ben je bij het gezellig stadscentrum met restaurantjes en de markt, onder andere een leuke vismarkt. Het strand is ook met een minuut of 10 lopend bereikbaar. Het appartement zelf is ruim, modern en gemoedelijk ingericht, van alle nodige faciliteiten9onder andere wasmaschine en de vaatwasser) voorzien, locatie(dicht bij de zee en ook om andere bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken, zoals Taormina, Syracusa, Etna), hele aardige en behuplzame host Franca. Op de dag van ons vertrek bracht ze ons wat lekkere Siciliaanse zoetigheid voor onderweg.

2 van de 3 slaakkamers van het appartement zitten aan de kant van de doorgaande weg , dat in de nacht en de ochtend best gehorig kan zijn. Ook, ondanks dat er een agenda aanwezig is qua ophalen van soort afval per dag, zetten de mensen van alles op straat zonder dat het goed is ingepakt. Dat zijn echter de factoren waar de host niks direct op kan veranderen.
