This is a very small hotel with separate bungalows, we like it as it located away from street and beach noise, yet a short walk.

We enjoyed our stay! The location is just between pier and main beach. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast were delicious - sandwiches, spaghetti, fruit and granola bowls, everyday something different. We enjoyed our stay a lot as a family with a 5 year old kid.

The room was fairly clean. The breakfast was simple and not very varied, but it was sufficient. The staff did not speak English very well, but they were always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. However, the hotel grounds are not well maintained. Right at the entrance there is what looks like an abandoned construction site with tools left lying around, which creates a poor first impression. The walkways are either covered with very slippery tiles that can be dangerous, especially on slopes and during rainy weather, or made of old wooden boards that creak and feel unstable. There is no place to wash the sand from the beach off your feet. The bungalows and the furniture are quite old and worn out. Everything creaks, the doors still use traditional keys instead of key cards, and unlocking the room often required considerable effort because the locks were difficult to operate. There are also gaps around the doors and windows, making it easy for mosquitoes and other insects to get inside. The bed was Thai style - quite hard and narrow for the family with a little kid who sleeps in. Compared to other hotels of a similar type on Koh Samet, this hotel feels significantly overpriced and does not justify its rates. If it were less expensive, it could be one of the better budget options on the island. However, at its current price, you can easily find accommodation that is newer, better maintained, and offers much better overall value.
