This is in a great location for Spitalfields market & Shoreditch. As it’s the penthouse there are a few stairs to climb. Lovely little balcony and 2 very comfortable bedrooms with one bathroom. Good communication from the company. Check in code only received 30 mins before check in from booking . com so don’t panic if you haven’t got it. Would recommend to stay here when visiting London-tube station’s a little walk away but we were fine with that.

Minor things like a tea towel would have been useful and a hand towel in the bathroom. Some cupboard doors need attention - didn’t detract from the stay though.

Location and size , patio balcony

Stairs with no lift( but we knew about this before) some of decor and finish in kitchen/bathroom wasn’t of the greatest standard.. especially for a ‘Penthouse’ heavy duty duvet covers in hottest months of year.

It was close to the Shoreditch High Street Overground station. We had a problem with the blind in the 2nd bedroom which turned out to be our fault because we hadn't switched it on. When it wouldn't work, we called the owner who arranged for someone to call and fix it within an hour. The bathroom was nice and the bedrooms were a good size with comfy beds.

One cupboard in the kitchen was falling off it's hinges. There was a damp patch on the ceiling in the kitchen. It was a very hot night and the fan in the bedroom was extremely noisy, like a plane landing. It is also in a noisy part of Shoreditch surrounded by streets that are strewn with graffiti, people shouting, broken glass and takeaway rubbish. It's great if you want to party all night as it's surrounded by pubs and bars but not so good if you want a good night's sleep. The apartment looks nice at first glance but would benefit from a bit of maintenance. I wouldn't call it luxury - or penthouse. It's only 4 stories and the view from the balcony is a block of flats that are higher than this property. There was no wardrobe or storage in the bedrooms and the ashtray on the table on the balcony hadn't been emptied. We were quite disappointed with it to be honest.
