San Karlu hotel is ideally located for everything of interest including restaurants and bars, however it is in a quiet little road meaning there us no noise!
Lovely rooms and staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, the pool / loungers on the roof are an added bonus in good weather!
I highly recommend staying there 🤩

The hotel was in an ideal location. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean with all the facilities you might need. We enjoyed using the rooftop and even went for a dip in the pool. It was great that it was manned so you could get refreshments up there!
The hotel was very clean and the location was perfect for exploring Valletta.

Staff were very welcoming, especially the breakfast staff.
Free fresh water was provided, with refills from reception (bathroom tap water is desalinated and has a taste)
Staff were good and helpful.
Useful to have a fridge in the room and kettle with tea and coffee.
The list of recommended restaurants was good and we enjoyed the ones we tried.
smell of drains in room, mosquitoes, air-conditioning control was locked on heat, so we could not set it to cool which meant we had the windows open and could hear the church bells all though the night. When we asked at reception twice for the air-conditioning to be unlocked we were told that it was not possible. The 25 steps down from the road where the taxi drops off and picks up, were unexpected and the taxi drive nor staff helped. The roof top pool was small than appeared in the photographs.
