    We stayed at The Barrister for a week and it really was a home from home. The staff are friendly, the breakfast fine and rooms very clean. Yes, it’s situated on the corner of Strait St which has several bars open until late but rooms are reasonably sound-proof and ear plugs are provided if it’s a real issue. The location is ALL. Just behind Republic Square and handy for everything.

    Location for this hotel is great. In the heart of Valletta and close to all major and minor attractions. The room is also well stocked with essential amenities and a decent size. Unfortunately room 35 and a lot of the other rooms are susceptible to loud music from the bar behind which goes on until 3/4am. Room 35 also didn’t have a shower which you could stand up in which was bizarre considering how much we paid. All that was provided was a bathtub with a shower head on a hook which means you have to shower sitting down. Staff are okay greeting where possible but again that’s it. No real interaction or suggestions, no welcome to the barrister, how was your stay etc. felt kind of cold. Would recommend for location but that’s it.

    The hotel itself is very nice but the noise from the street/bar wouldn’t allow us to sleep either night. The first night the partying stopped at 4 am and the next night it lasted until 5:30. Don’t stay here if you want to sleep at night.
