Cosy like truly living with family friend

This was our first ever homestay, and our third trip to Lapland — and Resort Kurjenoja has completely opened our eyes to a whole new way of travelling. It offered a far more authentic and personal experience than our previous trips, and we’re so glad we chose it. From the moment we arrived, the host family were incredibly warm and welcoming. Our daughter had such a wonderful time, and we felt genuinely looked after throughout our stay. We’ll admit we were a little hesitant at first when we learned there was a dog on-site, but we needn’t have been at all — Pimu was absolutely lovely, very friendly, and we even felt comfortable having her around our 2-year-old (who adored her!). The accommodation was spotless, beautifully presented, and the room was warm, spacious, and comfortable. The host family shared fantastic local knowledge and gave great recommendations for things to see and places to eat, which really added to our visit. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home and giving us such a memorable stay. We truly enjoyed the experience and will definitely consider homestays again in the future — this one set the bar very high!
