Although I didn't get to meet staff in ersn as I arrived 2 in the morning, they were in touch by email sending all information very clear step by step.

The guest house was very lovely. It was clean, comfortable, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The location was excellent — everything was within a 10–15 minute walk. The owner was incredibly supportive. He sent clear guidance on how to get to the guest house before my arrival, which was very helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. He also assisted me with my booking when I made a mistake, and I really appreciated his patience and kindness. There’s also a sauna in the house for a small extra fee, and it was worth every penny. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back!

The fridge was too full and some stuffs from previous stay needed to be thrown out maybe.

1. My top bunk in room 8 was extremely uncomfortable due to two very thin 'matresses' and a steel bar running underneath them that you could clearly feel when lying down.Sleeping on top of the duvet helped but this is not good enough with respect. 2. The open main door policy whereby anyone can enter and steal footwear or gain access further into the accommodation.

It is an old house made into a hostel and at the same time trying to fit as many rooms and people as possible without caring for comfort, privacy or anything else. My room ws next to the kitchen, a small room for 4 people with lots of furniture all being used, so I didn't have any space to put my things but in the floor next to the bed. It was a very small bed with a mattress slightly bigger which almost caused me to fall on the floor a couple of times. No ventilation on the room with bad smell from other guess plus smell of garlic and curry from the kitchen... There were 4 rooms in the second floor with only 1 small bathroom. None of that on the description or pictures. Unless you can't find anything else stay there or at the train station.

I loved how central the guesthouse was, the kitchen had everything we needed, nothing to complain about the property. We met one of the owners and he was lovely greeting us and giving us some information when we arrived. Definitely if you’re looking for a room in Rovaniemi — go here!!

Great location, free parking spot, communication with the host, cleanliness. I also loved that the property is very diligent in recycling waste. Well equipped kitchen, so suitable for longer stays and cooking. It feels like you are staying at someone's house (friends or family) rather than at a hostel, which gives a really homey feeling.

Maybe the kitchen could have tea towels or paper towels to dry hands. Nothing else comes to mind.

It’s nice place, very quiet, I had a singe room but was just next to the bathroom, in the ground floor. Near to city center where you can find many shops, markets, restaurants and the pick up locations for some tours

You can not go inside with your shoes, you have to wear the slippers they provide , but there is no space for you to seat and change. The guy was there was bit annoyed with people for small things, for example use the wrong bin, ou not smash the cartoons before through it away. He was bit rude when he complain about with people - in my point of view. Shower was not so clean every time he was also complain about people left some toiletries in the bathroom.

This place was rather comfortable and had good facilities. The property itself is near to the center of this township and is perfect for traveling in groups, and was convenient for my business travel requirements. It may not be the best option for solo travel as I had a negative experience because I was alone I will explain below. For facilities, the kitchen is very accommodating and in the style of a hostel. The grounds and common areas are spacious and feel like a private home. Showers are also well accommodating and private like a BnB. If you like, there is also a sauna you can pay 5 euro to use. Staff are responsive and attentive to complaints about general safety from other guests behavior at the property and their willingness to listen and apply feedback made the best out of what for me was an exceptionally bad personal traveling experience. I am thankful they were hear to handle my issue with grace while I was traveling for business in a rather unfamiliar part of the world. Compassion from hospitality agencies is sometimes not genuine these days, but with these privately owned properties I feel the compassion is genuine and they are as willing to help travelers having a hardship as they are to benefit from travelers on a pleasure outing. If the ownership sees this review, I genuinely thank you for being attentive to what could have been a very bad situation.

I had a rather unfortunate experience with another guest harassing me when I stayed there, and generally making me feel unsafe. This was not the fault of the staff, and they have been advised what they could do to improve the situation in the future for other guests. I feel like my experience was an isolated incident, and I took the added precaution of leaving this property early. Below I will explain the situation for the further benefit of staff and guests handling future circumstances. Another guests behavior was questionable though difficult to confront, as I believe he attempted to tamper with or attempted to open the door to my private suite in the building whilst I was sleeping. I became aware of this the next day when I woke to find one of the female dormitories shared master keys attached to its chain and still in the lock pulled tight with the key's lockbox open as if it had been stretched out to do this. It was hanging in a way that I could not have left the key in the lock myself and also close the door and bolt it shut. I realized later he could open the lockbox because it was not code controlled. The other lady guest had left by that time, making this individual the only other person present who could have done it. Later, when I was packing my bags to leave early, I heard the same individual come to the door and make loud breathing sounds as if they were leaning on the door to blocky exit. This dormitory has a balcony and so I made noise to alert the street which successfully deterred this individual from acting on any bad intentions. Later, as I was exiting the property, this guest also came outside and stared at me for a full moment while I was preparing my luggage to move elsewhere. They did this without any conversation, and no other explanation for their behavior. So while the guest did not attempt to hurt me directly, they did harass me, violate the property's rules, and otherwise encroached upon my privacy.

It was well located, room was spacious and private. Shared bathroom was good and clean. You can leave your luggage and the check-in is really easy.

Unfortunately the kitchen was quite dirty at the time we stayed, thankfully we did not have to do proper cooking.

This place is great! The kitchen is clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped. My room was pretty spacious and clean. The location is definitely very strategic, only about 10 minutes of walking from Arktikum, 5 minutes from McDonalds/restaurants/supermarkets, and some 15 minutes from the bus and train station. The flexibility to check-in and check-out is also a plus. The heating is definitely sufficient. Oh, and Kennedy, the caretaker, is also super friendly and helpful. Overall, this place is definitely worth your money.

Only minor things. The room's door was a bit difficult to operate, so you should ask the caretaker to teach you how to do it. There could also be some noises from the other rooms, but I think it's not too significant.
