Breakfast was not included. Harvey was a gracious host. The location was perfect to explore central Harlem and close to the subway into downtown Manhattan. Recommendations for dining and entertainment was a nice bonus being new to Harlem. I would definitely stay at the property again. Somewhat confused as the booking.com site promoted the reservation as a 2 bedroom but there was only one bedroom. I traveled solo so I'm hoping the price I paid was reflective of a booking for 1 bedroom despite the site marketing it as 2 bedrooms.
House rule prohibited visitors. It would have been nice to have been able to invite a friend to spend some time with me. I understand the rules in light of it being a somewhat private home.

Beautiful building on quiet tree lined street. Lovely interior with beautiful furnishings. Room was very private and had a lovely view onto a green courtyard. Apartment has cooking facilities, but we did not use them. Bath was spacious and clean. The A/C was great and we needed it, because temps were in the 90s.
There were no night stands next to the bed and no night lights. If one person wanted to sit or read at night, the only option was to turn on the bright room lights. The kitchen is essentially in a closet and there is no light to see well. there was not conditioner and the shampoo was very poor quality. The comforter was too warm and there was no alternative. WiFi was weak.

The apartment is great and the location is fantastic
Unfortunately we felt more like unwanted intruders than like guests. We were welcomed with a long list of rules and regulations and immediately admonished for having a third guest (in a two-bedroom apartment that sleeps 4) and asked to pay more. I understand the need for rules, and the people I interacted with in person were kind and well-meaning, but the interactions as a whole made us feel very uncomfortable.
