    From our very arrival, the receptionist was very warm and welcoming and offered us some refreshing drinks to cool down from the heat while we wait for our room to be ready. Breakfast was also included (with air conditioning inside), providing just enough options to fuel us up for the day. We also tried their in-house massage and wasn’t disappointed. Their spa is at a bungalow and we had it in the morning so it was quite hot, but the fan made it okay and the massage felt great which is the most important part. Both masseuses were very friendly and kept checking on us. We had to check out early the next morning, and since their breakfast starts at 7am, we wouldn’t be able to have it before leaving. Instead, the staff offered to pack some of the breakfast food for us to takeaway, and helped to book a car to go to the aiport at a reasonable price (since it would’ve been hard to book a Grab early in the morning) which was very sweet and kind of them to do. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. It is a bit far from the main area of Hoi An Old Town, but I feel it is worth it because of the peace and quiet. We felt very relaxed and glad that we booked this as our last stop in our Vietnam trip. Very grateful to all the wonderful staff 🙏🏻

    Zen Retreat Hoi An genuinely lives up to its name. The whole property is the definition of tranquility .. quiet, beautifully laid out, and built around a proper lake covered in lotuses. The library, yoga space, and gym are actually built on top of the lake, accessed by a small bridge that you walk across to reach them. It's rare to find a natural water body integrated so thoughtfully into a property, and it gives the whole place a really special feel. The pool is lovely, the rooms are clean and beautifully done up with a grounded, earthy aesthetic, and the property feels like it's tucked away in its own little world. Getting there feels almost like heading deep into a village, away from the usual noise. The food at the restaurant is genuinely good. I ended up ordering room service at least twice and the meals were excellent both times. Staff are extremely helpful and warm. One of the reception team even helped me book a day trip to the Marble Mountains, which turned out to be a wonderful outing. The hidden beach in Hoi An is just a 12 to 15 minute Grab ride away, which is a nice bonus. If you're looking for somewhere peaceful, quiet, and restorative to spend a few days, this is the place. Highly recommended.

    The staff at Zen Retreat have gone above n beyond. The entire stay was amazing. Always have a recommendation for whatever you wish for, restaurants, site seeing and more. The only suggestion is to utilise the beautiful gym which is located over the lake for breakfast and a bar area in the evening. We stayed here in 2020 (formerly known as ‘Water coconut) if want to check out my last review and the facilities are even better now. If we are ever in Hoi An again we will definitely be back and leave with a smile no doubt.

    Excellent service, morning breakfast, staffs, facilities. You name it, they are always there when you need them with a smiling face and ready to serve. Excellent surrounding too if you want to chill and relax.
