In my general budget range, most hotels sort of blend into one-another or are just 'alright'. But i kinda love this place. Im gonna say 3 reasons. 1. The family who run it are adorable and sweet. They chill outside on their patio to keep themselves available. They arent in any way overbearing either. You come, you go. If you need anything, just ask. The vibe is real. 2. The room. Its... so pretty. The ceiling is gigantic. The wooden slats are amazing and the balcony (that little gangway you see in the main picture, has an amazing amount of space for each room to have its own balcony area for just chilling in late at night. 3. The bathroom. That bath. Omg! heaven! Its so rare to find a bath in the first place, but to find one thats so big and deep. And you just get that too. Wanna just open the windows, listen to the monks outside (theres a temple adjacent), or just sit in some candle light with a nice bath bomb. Its sooo incredibly relaxing. 4. Bonus because i keep saying it. The VIBE is dead on. The nights are amazingly quiet and peaceful, the rivers just outside. The rooms are lovely. The family is lovely. The whole atmosphere is pure tranquility. An amazing place to stay. And its why for a change it warranted a glowing review.

Decided to spend a bit more than usual for a room with a bathtub after a 6hr motorbike ride. Staff tried to give us a lesser room than we'd paid for because we 'only booked for one night'. After some arguing and them trying to put us in a couple of lesser rooms they finally gave in and gave us what we'd booked. There was a leak in the ceiling pouring water on our heads in the bathroom. Afterwards they were friendly and nice but you shouldn't have to argue 45 minutes for the room you have booked and paid for
