Everything was great. Only hiccup was that bathroom door with the shower did not close completely, same with bedroom with two twin beds. Wonderful views, responsive host, well appointed, comfortable beds.. would stay again.
There are trains going by all night, with horns at times but there were thoughfully placed earplugs and eyemask on bedside stand on each side of the beds. It was not a big deal at all.

We enjoyed three nights at this rental. It is very comfortable and well equipped with a beautiful view of the river. There are a number of small towns nearby with interesting restaurants and shops. We also enjoyed visiting Crystal Cave. The train noises in the night take a bit of getting used to but cranking up our white noise machine helped. The owner was very responsive. We would enjoy staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Maiden Rock. The home was very well-appointed, check-out was a breeze, and the location was great! We really enjoyed the beautiful views of Lake Pepin and the deck overlooking the water. We were able to walk to the local coffee shop each day--highly recommend Maiden Rock Mercantile for delicious coffee!
The trains took some getting used to, but we ended up enjoying them as a part of the overall experience. We used the provided ear plugs and sound machines at night to block the sound of passing trains and it was a non-issue for our group.
Would stay here again!

We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the cottage. Beautiful and modern place! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back in the near future. Everything we needed for grilling and cooking were provided. Love the view of the lake and despite the train being active during the day and night, we didn’t mind it. It wasn’t as loud as we expected. My toddlers didn’t mind it and loved seeing the train pass by. Would highly recommend this place!
