We stayed at Tree of Life based on recommendations, but the experience—especially the food—was extremely disappointing. Given the remote location of the property, guests are entirely dependent on in-house dining, which makes food quality a critical part of the experience. Unfortunately, the food was consistently poor. - A local dish called “Dubke” was listed as fritters on the menu, but what was served was a dal preparation. When we raised this, the chef seemed unaware of the dish itself. - The biryani was essentially a bland pulao with meat, lacking any flavor or authenticity. - The pasta was inedible—first completely lacking salt, and after correction, it was overcooked and still unpleasant. - The pizza was equally poor and not something one could eat. Additionally, the gym area had a strong smell of dampness and seepage, making it uncomfortable to use and raising concerns about maintenance. While some facilities were otherwise acceptable, food and overall upkeep are major aspects of a stay at such a remote property, and both were lacking. Overall, not a place we would recommend unless there are significant improvements.
