The Skyza Rooftop Lodge is located in the centre of town about 600 metres from the Railway Station. I booked a ‘Deluxe Room with Balcony / Terrace’. The advertised Balcony / Terrace that my room was supposed to have did not exist … it was the common area. The wifi was very slow most of the time (everywhere in the hotel) and at times the wifi was unusable. My room had no wardrobe, my private bathroom had an Indian Shower (fill up a bucket with hot water, stand underneath a cold shower, and throw hot water over yourself with a cup). If I left the hot water heater on for too long, I got electric shocks from the bathroom taps and electrical appliances in my room! My room was on the 4th floor (and, sometimes, the lift didn't work). Skyza is a young backpacker hostel which blasts out music several times during the day and pretty much all evening until about 11pm. You can’t find any staff until after 9am in the morning. The common areas are left uncleaned from the night before until the staff emerge after 9am in the morning. Other than that, my room was fine and the hotel was fine :-) The location was good and everything that I needed was a short walking distance away.
